Best Things Nearby:Outlet shopping and ski areas.Best Things About the Resort:Not too far from many ski areas. Very good accommodations with a curtious and responsive staff.Resort Experience:Very nice to stay. They were able to place our two families into a double unit. There is a beautiful view of the trails of Jiminy Peak Ski Resort from just about anywhere on-site but it looks so much better when your in the outdoor hot tub after a good day of skiing. Jiminy Peak was a big disappointment as the trails were very poorly groomed. Fortunately there were other areas close by that were much better. Catamount Ski Area was our favorite. It must have been an off sea...Read More

If you are looking for a good steak then this is the place. A specialty Bison Steak was very delectable as were the steak and scallops and Rib-Eye. On the left heading south on Route 7.

Garlic John's

Restaurant

If you don't mind a bit of a drive or you are up in Manchester, Vermont, taking in the area shopping outlets then Garlic John's is a great place for a bit of Italian cuisine. A might better than traditional Italian, not just pasta 10 ways. The food is excellent and a must go if your in the area.

There was a wine tasting on-site and a John Harvard's Brewery Restaurant across the road at Jiminy Peak. There are also several bars and restaurants close by in Pittsfield.

Check the web site for specials on lift tix. We had an e-coupon day and there are state days also. The area itself was very poorly groomed and a lot of trails were closed for whatever reason. The ones that were open were poorly groomed and chock full of deep piles of loose snow crystals.

Great place to ski, the trails were well groomed and mostly open. A couple of beginner trails were closed because of snowmaking. Very good mountain with just enough of each type of terrain for all sliders. The New England Clam Chowder, although pricey, was excellent as was the pulled pork sandwich. Highly recommend this ski area.
