A Bavarian Town-Helen, Georgia

A February 2006 trip to Helen by Bretegolf

An Awesome German town in the Northeast Georgia Mountains! This is a hidden gem that has been in place for 35 years. The mountains, falls, river and quaint town are places of utter relaxation and enjoyment!

Best Things Nearby:
Quaint German Town of Helen, grand mountain views, waterfalls (Anna Ruby Falls), summer river rafting/tubing, and great Bavarian food.

Best Things About the Resort:
Location on the Hillside overlooking Helen!

Resort Experience:
The 1-bedroom unit is a loft in which easily sleeps 6. It has a whirlpool bath right in the bedroom, with a full bath. Great overlook of the town of Helen and short walking path to town. The convenience is exemplary! An indoor heated pool makes great relaxation for all seasons and outdoor water slide available during the summer season. Units need upgrading as this is an old resort.

In previous visits during the mid September to early November time, Helen is as lively as any major city with activities, food, and drink abundant! The Bavarian music, food, drinks, and great mountain atmosphere is outstanding.
