50's Prime Time Café

You definitely want to have priority seating reservations. It took us 2 days to get in but was really worth it. The experience alone was wonderful. You are seated in an old-fashioned '50s home and your server is supposed to be a member of your family--they treat you like one, too. Our server was Uncle Dale, who was great. He has his own schpiel on how to act at the table, including no elbows on it. It was fun, and my 5-year-old loved it. They make sure you eat all your veggies or they let everyone in the place know that you're wasting food. The service was outstanding and delightful. The food is home-style cooking, from meatloaf, roast beef, and veggies to fried chicken. It was excellent. My ...Read More

If you have kids (even if you don't and love Disney), this is an opportunity in character dining you don't want to miss. They take a family pic upon entering, which they package and bring to your table, but you are not entitled to buy it if you don't want. The kids are seated at the outside of the table so that while you are dining, the characters have easy access to the little ones for pics and autographs. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, even though my son wouldn't leave the table or calm down enough to even eat. All of the food was fresh, your normal breakfast foods Disney style, even lox for your bagels, fresh pastries, breakfast pizza, and peanut butter-and-jelly pizza. The list goes on.....Read More

This does not appear to be fast food. It is beautiful inside and the waiters are fancily dressed. Our waiter was more interested in checking out some girl from the dining room window, so we had to wave our arms around to get his attention. We had just entered the park, so we thought we would just have a burger, but I had the driest piece of meat I have ever had. We actually had to dip our burger like you would fries in order to get any moisture. The fries were okay, but the portion should have been for a child. We had better burgers with a lot of flavor at a quick location at the park for half the price. It was not worth the decor or the wait.

The atmosphere was nice. There is a train upon entering that you can feed quarters into to see run (had a little problem getting my 5-year-old away from that). My husband ate ribs, I had pasta, and my son had chicken fingers, which he really enjoyed. The pasta was okay and the ribs were okay, but I personally thought it was slightly overpriced for what we ate. The service was fantastic, though, as the waiters had wonderful senses of humor. There were only two small families there at the time, so we were getting their full attention. Outside there is putt-putt golf. It was kinda cool that it was set up like a mountain, but it was lacking imagination on the holes themselves. And my husband is ...Read More

Angel's Diner Holiday Inn

Restaurant | "Angels Diner (Breakfast Buffet)"

Quote:
We have eaten at Angels several times. On average, the food is pretty good, but not fine dining or anything. We usually go for the breakfast buffet, eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, pancakes, hash, biscuits and gravy, donuts, bagels, etc. (We did attend the seafood buffet at Angels years ago, and the food is much fresher in the evening, when the restaurant is more packed.) But we have never gotten bad service at Angels--you couldn't ask for better or more friendly servers. They are great and are from all over the place, with lots of stories. The place itself is designed with motifs of icons like Elvis and Marilyn Monroe. In the end, we always enjoy our meal.
