A Great Time at Gumbo Limbo Environmental Complex

My family really loved the tower over looking the ocean and intercostal waterway. It was nice and relaxing with great views. The main entrance to the complex was also great with lots of displays of different animals. At the back of the complex, there are a few small pools with sea turtles, fish, and starfish. They even have petting tanks; great for the kids to get there hands on some sea critters.

Quick Tips:

The best tip I can give you is to bring some cash. Admission is free but they would like for you to give a donation. They also have a gift shop and cash works best.

Best Way To Get Around:

The best thing for you to have is a great pair of walking shoes for the walk around the complex. To travel around town, your best bet is a car.

This is a small but exciting place. The entire grounds can be walked in under 2 hours. They have nature trails, sea turtles, and lots of marine life to look at. They even have petting tanks where the kids can pet a variety of sea creatures. This place is full of plant life. The trails are very nice and clean. They also have a tower that is about 40-feet high. It’s tall enough for one to see both the ocean and the intercostals, as well as the top of the palm trees. One of the trails has a butterfly garden that is very beautiful. All along the trails are benches for one to rest. It is a great experience for the whole family.
