The best things to do in the Atlantis is to definitely check out the 60-foot water slide, because the experience is such a rush. Also, you should definitely check out the beach, as the water is just magnificent.

Quick Tips:

Get the meal plan before you go (buy from your travel agent) because it is a lot cheaper than buying food separately. You can go to many of the restaurants with the meal plan. If you don't get the meal deal, the food is very pricey.

Best Way To Get Around:

There is a shuttle to the Harborside Resort, where there is a very nice restaurant called The Point.

The accommodations at the Atlantis were very luxurious. The reason for this was because the resort is surrounded in paradise, which makes it very pleasant. The staff was also very helpful and friendly, and they bent over backwards for us. The food was also great, as there were many restaurants to chose from. However, these restaurants were very pricey, so I do suggest that you buy the meal plan prior to your stay at the Atlantis. The meal plan includes either two meals a day (Gourmet plan) or three meals a day (American plan). We chose the American plan, which included three meals a day, but it was too much. The food is served in very large portions, so I suggest that you get the Gourmet meal plan, as two meals a day at Atlantis is plenty!!! We could hardly eat the two meals a day, let alone three. The room service was very nice and the room included a safe to store important items in (passports wallets, etc.).

The Atlantis also includes a fitness center, spa, and other many enjoyable activities, such as parasailing and banana boating. These activities are not free, though. I suggest using the fitness center because it was very nice, but I am not sure of the price.

One thing we found very helpful was the Hospitality Cavern, which was a facility (equipped with showers, dressing rooms lockers, etc.) for people who had checked out earlier that day and wanted to stay on the property until their flight (if it's in the afternoon). We found this very helpful because we went swimming in all the pools and onto the beach right before we left. We knew that our things were safe because they were locked up in an individual locker. Once we were finished swimming, we were then able to shower before hitting the airport. The Atlantis was one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed at because of its many perks.

The Atlas Bar & Grill in Atlantis was a very nice place to eat. It is in the casino, however, and overlooks the marina. The food was very good there because they had a variety of different foods, which included something for everyone. They also had some local cuisine, such as conch soup, which was very good. When you go to the Atlantis, be sure to check out the Atlas Bar & Grill.

The dinning at The Point was absolutely wonderful. It was located right off the harbor, so while you eat, you can have a great view of the water. It is also opened on all sides, so you can experience a nice breeze. The food was also very good, a mix of American delights as well as local cuisine (conch soup and Bahamian rice). The steak was marvelous and reasonably priced. You should check out The Point if you go to Atlantis.

Attraction | "Shopping"

Atlantis has many designer brand-name shops. They had Versace, Dooney and Bourke, and many other brand names. The Dooney and Bourke shop was very inexpensive, so you should definitely check it out.
