Chop-N-Block is a local family-owned and -operated restaurant. The barbecue at this place is amazing. They serve the tenderest turkey I have ever tasted in my life. They also offer brisket, sausage, turkey, and chicken. Their menu has many options or meals that can include sides like green beans, corn on the cob, french fries, baked beans, and baked potatoes. The meals can include one, two, or three sides and are served with their famous fried biscuits. This restaurant is set up cafeteria-style: you walk in, pick your meat, they chop it right there in front of you, you decided what sides you want, and then you pay. In the dinning room is a little salad bar-like thing that has bread, fried b...Read More

Chico

El Chico Restaurant is an okay place to eat. The food is pretty good, not great, but for Mexican it will do since it is not far from where we live. The service was not the best either, it seemed like it took a while to get anything.

The menu is pretty big, they have a lot of things to choose from. They have this great smelling dessert. The people behind us got this brownie sundae thing, and you could smell it in our booth and it made me want one.

The restaurant is pretty warm and comfortable. It is a little nicer and more upscale than I remember, but not to much, still a casual family place for dinner.

Prior to this year I really had not eaten in Granbury very often but with my husband working here we have tried many new places. This place by far was the most interesting. I had heard many things about it and so my husband and I decide we would go ahead and try it. I will start with the meal. You have about 5 or 6 things to choose from, Fried chicken, Chicken Fried Steak, Fried Chicken Tenders, Smoked Chicken, Catfish, and Pot roast, all these meat items cost around 8 to 9 dollars. Each one of these meals come with all you can eat mash potatoes, with gravy, green beans, green salad (literally just green salad), grandma’s corn, and homemade biscuits. So at first it sounds a little expensive but ...Read More

Before I begin this meal I will first tell you that we got a free invitation to eat here as part of there pre opening. The restaurant was in training and they gave us our meal at no cost for Granbury teachers. I tell you this because I do think maybe some thing have changed and it was very early on in there opening when we went. Of course with many Mexican restaurants you get chips and hot sauce when you come in and they keep it filled while you are waiting for your food. The chips were not very good at all. In fact I think they were the worst restaurant chips I had ever had. They were very hard crunchy and seemed greasy. The hot sauce was nothing special, we also ordered queso, the...Read More

Spring Creek BBQ

Spring Creek BBQ is just like a cafeteria. You walk through the door and grab a tray then you tell the guy behind the counter what you want. You have chicken, turkey, sausage, beef brisket or sandwiches to choose from. The meat is cut fresh before you. Then you go to the sides and here you can take as much as you want and even come back for more. It is unlimited sides with the main meals. Once you have done that you grab your drink and head to one of the many picnic tables or booths to enjoy your meal. I had a kid’s plate with beans and macaroni. Both were very good, I got the turkey and it was very moist and had good flavor. My husband got brisket and chicken, the brisket was good...Read More
