Just walking into the hotel lobby, I knew this hotel was going to far surpass my expectations! Everything was done well on a grand scale. From the large "tree garden" with hanging flower pomanders, to the intricate hanging lanterns in the lobby area - everything about this hotel was beautiful!

As I walked through the foyer of my room, the first thing I saw was the bathroom. It has a large soaking tub, and a glass enclosed shower, in addition to a flat-screen TV. It was extremely tastefully decorated in neutral tones to bring serenity to a weary traveller. Not long after arriving in my room, I took a relaxing bath and was still able to watch the game!

Continuing further into the room, I saw the floor-to-ceiling windows. The entire outside wall of my room was one giant window, with drapes that were controlled by a button on the wall. My view was of the golf course - the only one on the Strip - including the waterfall.

The room was large (650 square feet), bright and airy, decorated in red with pictures of flowers. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on. It's pillow top, and high quality sheets made for a great place to sleep upon returing from the casino. Leaving the drapes open before going to bed allowed us to fall asleep to the excitiment of the Vegas lights, and wake up to the serene feeling of the golf course.

The desk area was large enough for working and had a printer/fax for those who just can't leave their work at home.

The casino itself was extremely busy due to the recent opening of the hotel, but there were pleanty of helpful employees to direct, answer questions, and run tables. Although the hotel is new, the casino reminded me of an old, glamorous area where I expected to see stars from "Old Hollywood."

With a Ferrari dealership on the premisis, as well as most other high end stores - Chanel, Manilo Blahnik, Dior, Loius Vuitton... there were plenty of places to window shop when my gambling money had all been spent.

This is another wonderful hotel added to the Strip in Las Vegas. The next time I visit, I will definitely stay there again! Read Less

Have you ever driven 150 miles per hour on the Las Vegas Speedway? Well, I hadn't either, but it's something everyone should have the opportunity to do at least once in their life!

I'm not a big NASCAR fan, but heading to a real race track knowing I was going drive was really exiting.

When my group arrived at the Speedway, we were brought into a room where we were given an idea of what our 4 hours would be like. First we were shown an instructional video explaining that we would learn about the inside of the car, drive the track with an instructor in a van, and then drive around the track following the instructor.

Although I was a little worried about driving a stick shift at 150 miles, the instructors assured me it wouldn't be difficult. They gave everyone a jumpsuit to wear, and we started our hands on instruction. The inside of the car looked nothing like a typical car. There was a driver's seat, the gear shift, and a few buttons. Every luxury was absent from the car, as this is an actual NASCAR race car. Even the steering wheel was screwed on when I was in the car.

Watching a few members of my group take their turn driving five times around the track at seemingly ridiculous speeds, I was up. When I had been properly strapped into the car (they were right, it is safe!), I was off. I only had to shift gears a few times, because when you reach fourth gear, you leave the gears alone.

Those five laps were amazing! The car almost seemed to steer itself around the tight turns. The adrenalin high that I had going around that racetrack was one I will not likely be able to repeat.

Although this is not for those who fear speed, this is an adventure that I would recommend whether you are a NASCAR fan or not! It is a bit expensive, but if you want to go for something a little cheaper, there is also a Ride-Along experience. This allows anyone to ride along for three laps with an instructor. Read Less
