The Vacation Week From Hell/The Best

A July 2005 trip to Weirs Beach by rtredwell

I requested a week using my RCI point anywhere available. This was not a pleasure trip. I had a choice of Arizona or New Hampshire. I was very sick and being originally, 28-years ago, from the Berkshires, I picked NH. The week turned into three, then a lifetime...

Best Things Nearby:
Lake, and a lake and, oh, did I mention a lake? Actually many very large lakes and beaches. Wonderful views everywhere especially if your a photographer. Kids will love this place because the summer has everything from water parks (as if they need them, but you would be surprised, my kids loved them), a Fun Spot you and your kids can enjoy all day when it rains and it is all indoors with multi levels. Miniature Golf, arcades, boating, fishing, water and snow skiing and for me, best of all, lots and lots of nature.

Best Things About the Resort:
It's in God's Country. I say that because there is so much unspoiled beauty surrounding the resort and the people are very friendly and nice. It is a dual purpose resort where most resorts serve only one purpose i.e. beach, golf, skiing, etc. This resort offers all that, however, it offers an open, inviting air to just sit back and relax and not do anything!

Resort Experience:
The individuals who work and run the resort are like family. Very nice, helpful and are more on a friendly, personal level than a staunch business level. They are very flexible and easy to work with. The units are very clean, comfortable in a homey kind of way. There are some owners in the units who are extremely nice and some live there year round. I can't say enough about this resort as the place and the people, the package, was so wonderful, words aren't enough!
