Dodger Stadium is a place I would not recommend to anyone visiting the area. I might recommend it to people who live in the area, because they may have the patience and be familiar with the craziness of LA.Besides the normal heavy traffic in the area, the stadium is basically all enclosed, which means the only place you can park is in the stadium itself. Most other stadiums you can park in other places and walk, but here you only have one option and the line to get in is only three lanes and is so packed, once you pay, it automatically widens to like six lanes and then you have total pandemonium. Most other stadiums you can park in other places and walk, but here you only have one option and the line to get in is only three lanes and is so packed, once you pay, it automatically widens to like six lanes and then you have total pandemonium. Once you find a parking spot—and it seemed like it took hours to find an empty one—it can only be described as the worst parking lot set-up I have ever seem.
Then when you begin to head to your seats, you better go directly to your seat. The way the stadium is set up, you can only get on the level that your seats are for. The stadium is not set up to walk around and see different parts of the park. If you are a huge baseball fan and enjoy visiting stadiums, this is a major disadvantage. My husband likes to walk around and see what all the stadium has to offer, and check out other views from a different seat. Here you pretty much just have to stay where your tickets are. This stadium was very difficult to get around and it was a very unpleasant park. The seats were very close together; you could hardly move or breath without hitting the person next to you. The walk to the stadium was long, probably since you have to park miles and miles away and you have to climb several staircases to get to the level that your seats are on (especially if they are up high).
The staff was also very unfriendly. They were not willing to work with you on anything. One guy was going to let my husband bring in his camera bag because it was not too big and then another guy would not. They offered him a plastic bag to put it in and keep it in a locker. My husband has some very expensive camera equipment, and if you can guess, putting it in a plastic bag in a locker is not really an option. After talking to a few security guys, they let him through and sent us to our seats. My husband and I travel to many ballparks every year, and this has ranked the worst so far.
