Escape to Fiji

Some of the best diving/snorkling in the world, incredible sunsets, local culture abounds. It is truly a hidden paradise.

Quick Tips:

Bring potable water tablets and plenty of suncreen. Read up on local traditions as to not insult the natives...being invited to visit their village is an honor and a thrill

Best Way To Get Around:

Depending on where you stay, you will have to walk. Cars are not too plentiful. Depending on the type of accommodations you prefer, some resorts are so encompassing you never leave the compound- I prefer the small locally run establishments myself.
Incredible all-encompassing resort, if you are in for that kind of travel. They do a good job of trying to incorporate local culture into the entertainment, landscape and design, etc. The rooms are huge and luxurious to the tilt. Edgeless pools with bars in them and every ammenity and activity you imagine. Only drawback is you hardly leave the massive compound (it isn''t eay to) to explore any of Fiji.

The area is part of the great barrier reef, the snorkling is awesome because the reef is in such plain view and so colorful. Of course the diving is incredible as well, and fish will eat out of your hands. In fact sadly almost, they expect to.
