Every time we go somewhere in Europe, we always try to stay in K&K Hotels. It is a European hotel chain that is both relatively inexpensive and high quality accommodations. As always, when we were booking K&K in Prague we were expecting quality accommodations and great service, and we weren't disappointed. The hotel was great! It is one of the newest hotels and enjoys an excellent location in quiet surroundings; just a few steps from Wenceslas Square, the "Golden City's" centre, with all its wonderful sights, museums, shops, restaurants, and business centres. Breakfast was included in the price of our room and it was an excellent buffet. We ate there every morning of our 3-day stay in Prague. ...Read More

This is a quick sandwich place similar to Quizno's or Subway. Very convenient to grab a bite and continue exploring the city. Tasty and cheap.

Pivovarsky Dum Best of IgoUgo

This is a great place to try traditional Czech dishes. It is frequented by locals, but menus in English are also available. Good beer and tasty food. We tried traditional beers, if you feel adventurous you can order beer of unique flavors from coffee to sour cherry. They also serve specialty champagne beer and good unfiltered wheat beer. Through the clear glass in the dining room you can see where the beer is brewed, and the decor of the place displays old kitchen utensils, beer mugs, and antique items. Since this bar is very popular among the locals, it is a good place for people watching and a getting a feel for a real Czech everyday life. Go there for lunch.

We went on the insider tour, and also a the old town pub walk. Both were great! The insider tour is highly recommended as a starting point of getting to know the city. We learned about all major historical sites and major events in the history of the city. On the following days of our stay, we visited the sites that we wanted to explore further. Make sure you take comfortable shoes. The walking tour lasts about 4 hours, with one 15-minute break, so be prepared to walk! The old town pub walk is also very interesting. The guide takes you to four different bars where you get to try different Czech beers, and you have a traditional Czech dinner at one of the bars/restaurants. We ended up going to more ba...Read More

You can get a sightseeing boat tour from a number of different companies that advertise by the Charles Bridge, and also other major historical sites. Definitely put a boat tour on your to do list, you get a different perspective on the city and its beautiful architecture. Also, this way you will give some rest to your feet. The best thing in the boat tour is a spectacular view of Charles Bridge with all its statues.

Check out the web site http://www.praguer.com/citywalks/?show=walks for a detailed description of the tour. Some info also included in the "Prague City Walks" journal. It is a great way to get familiar with traditional Czech food and drink! Try several different beers and a famous Absenth liquor. You won't be disappointed. Check out some pictures from the tour. We had a great time!
