Lake George sleepover

Overview

Quote:
When we pulled up to the campground we were told to go look for a site that we liked. When we looked we found a nice site right down on the water. It had a fire place, and good shade from the sun.

Quick Tips:

get there early to get a good site. The checkout time is 11:00 am.

Best Way To Get Around:

car, or bike, but don't forget the boat.

The campground was very nice and clean. The rangers were very polite and helpful with anything that we needed, from food to buy or resturants. They have a showerhouse with hot water and electric. They also have bathrooms throughout the campground.

We went for breakfast to try the place out. I had a very good waffle with all kinds of fruit on it. My wife had eggs and bacon just how she liked them. Since we had a good breakfast we decided to try it for dinner. We both had Rahm schitzel and spatzel. Being the german that I am I can say it was very good. If you are there try it.

Mountain Biking

Attraction

The trails are varied in style. They have hills that are steep, and small ones. The trails are paved, but there are dirt trails also. Some of the trails are part of the road, so be carefull. We went from our campground to Glens Falls. That took us a good part of the day. When we got there we ate lunch at a Bennegains resturant, then we made our way back.

First you go to the town . You will find them in front of Fort William Henry. Go down and choose the right size boat for you. Go out in the morning for the smoothest water. Head north towards one mile island. When you get there go to the left side of the island. This will take you by the most expensive hotel on the lake the Sagamore. It is a site to see!!! Don't forget how long you rented the boat for. It takes you just as long to get back.
