Quick Tips:

Do the timeshare presentation there--we saved on our activities AND ended up buying another timeshare on the beach in Kauai.

Best Way To Get Around:

We used a car. The resort was on the North Shore and most of the activities we did were on the South Shore. Depending on traffic, it took from 45 minutes to 90 minutes to get to our activities. Stay on the South Shore if you want to do any water activities.

Our condo was a two-bedroom/two-bath unit. It was huge, probably 1,500 square feet. It had a really nice deck off the living room, with a separate laundry room. The unit was VERY comfortable for two couples; it could have easily held six people with no problem. The unit had a full kitchen as well.

I would recommend that you ask the concierge to help you schedule your activities. They get paid to do that, and at the Makai Club they did their job VERY WELL. We told them what we wanted to do and what kind of time frame we had. Everything was scheduled for us in a couple hours. They even added last-minute adventures for us.
