Best Waterfront Restaurants Nassau Bahamas

A December 2005 trip to Nassau by getaway

Quote: I will be writing about my favorite restaurants in Nassau, which happen to both be located right on the waterfront!

Columbus Tavern

Restaurant | "Columbus Tavern Waterfront Restaurant"

This restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and overlooks the Nassau waterfront. It's a beautiful spot at night, especially if you get a table right by the open window area. Their fish is always fresh and they will prepare it anyway you like it and their meat is delicious! Here are some of my favorite dishes:- Flaming Steak Diana. A 12oz certified Black Angus New York strip steak prepared table side the traditional way.- Grouper "New Providence" which is a filet of Nassau grouper stuffed with a herb & crab meat stuffing, sautéed & served with lobster & shrimp.- Fisherman's Fiesta. A 5oz lobster tail, shrimps & scallops lightly blackened ...Read More

Columbus Tavern serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and is the only native waterfront restaurant on Paradise Island serving delicious, fresh fish dishes cooked anyway you like it; great steaks, such as their Flaming Steak Diane prepared tableside; and local Bahamian specialties. It's a beautiful spot, especially if you get a table right by the open-air windows. Columbus Tavern has live music on Friday and Saturday nights and daily happy hours from 5 to 7pm, serving tropical cocktails at great prices. Some of our favorite dishes include:- Grouper "New Providence"--It's stuffed with crabmeat stuffing and sautéed and served with lobster and shrimp.- Fisherman's Fiesta-...Read More

This is another restaurant we went to that was wonderful while in Nassau. While we were waiting for our meal, the bread in the bread basket was warm, fresh, and had a sweetness to it. Our meal was delicious. We had fillet of hog snapper and lobster. After our meal, we took a walk along the beach just outside the restaurant under the beautiful moonlight.
