There isn't much nearby without a car. It is highly recommended you rent a car to tour this area. Assisi is nice, but small can be toured in about 2 days or less. The nearest large town is Perugia, the capital of Umbria.

Resort Experience:
The resort is okay and I somewhat recommend it. The walls are paper thin and we could hear everything in the apartment above us, from chairs moving on the floors to voices talking. It is a little off the beaten path, on the top of the hill above Assisi. There isn't much nearby without a car. It is highly recommended you rent a car to tour this area. Assisi is nice, but small can be toured in about 2 days or less. The nearest large town is Perugia, the capital of Umbria. It cost 8 Euros to wash and dry a load of laundry which we had to because we traveled with our 1-year-old son. Nice trip, but would not stay in area again.
