Resort Experience:
Beautiful campground overlooking the town of Williams--we stayed here for a week during our last visit. You are up among the trees and away from town so you don't have all the traffic noise. They have a beautiful little clubhouse with laundry and showers. This is the least expensive and nicest campground we found in Williams. The gentleman who runs the place was very helpful when we pulled in, and there is a convenience store right next door. The spaces were very wide, and they have 30 and 50amps. We loved the fact that it is high above the town, so you can go out at night and watch the lights. Also, we went hiking in the trees surrounding the park and had a great time. They are AAA-approved, and they take several discount members (AARP, Good Sam, Military, Law Enforcement).

The Winchester Steakhouse is one of the most entertaining evenings you will spend. It is a huge oldwest building and you sit at long wooden tables with other diners. Western singers and skits are on going in the evening. The meals are mostly big old steaks with beans and all the trimmings. We had the best steaks we have every gotten and just old Western fun. Highly recommend for a night of good food and fun.

Pancho McGillicuddy's is 1 block off historic Route 66. We have eaten here several times, and we usually eat out on the patio so we can watch all the downtown tourists go by. They have a singer who plays music while you eat, and the food is fabulous. They also serve you a lot, so you never leave hungry. I love their fajitas, which come to you sizzling and have all the trimmings. It is a really nice restaurant with a very casual and friendly feel.

We eat at Rosa's for lunch when we head to Williams, and this is the only sit-down restaurant with REAL Mexican food. All the locals eat here, and they also have 32 flavors of margaritas! The service is fast, and you get plenty to eat. The building is older, but the place is spotlessly clean.
