Thanksgiving on the Star Princess

A November 2004 trip to Western Caribbean by RyanT

Quote: I have been on several cruises, and the Star Princess has been by far the BEST. Princess always seems to better than other cruise lines.

Zipline Canopy Tour

Hotel | "Canopy Adventure"

This thrilling adventure was my favorite excursion of the whole cruise. You use special equipment the lets you fly through the treetops of the Jamaican rain forest like a bird. In all, there are nine traverses, ranging in length from 100 to nearly 1,000 feet. If you’re afraid of heights, you shouldn’t do this excursion, because you’re sitting on a small piece of wood that is hanging from a wire several hundred feet in the air above the forest floor. If this excursion sounds dangerous to you, it isn’t. The guides of this trip take a lot of safety precautions. And they give you safety instructions before the adventure even begins.

Stingray City

Attraction | "Sting Ray City"

If you are ever in Grand Cayman, you have to go see Sting Ray City. It is a good shore excursion for people of all ages, young and old. Sting Ray City is a giant sand bar in the middle of the ocean off the coast of Grand Cayman. It’s was like 3 feet deep out in the middle of the ocean. Then the sting rays swim up to feed on the sand bar. The sting rays may seem scary are first but are very friendly animals. The tour guides give you instructions on how to handle the animals. They also give you pieces of chopped up squid to feed to the sting rays. If I ever go back to Grand Cayman, I would have to visit Sting Ray City. I would recommend it to anyone.
