Part of a one week trip to Bratislava, Vienna, and Salzburg. I arrived early morning on the 24th and stayed one night in Bratislava.

Hotel

Initially you would think the hostel was situated at a ghetto-like place because the nearby buildings looked a bit rough. But the building of the hostel was alright. My friend and I stayed in a six-person dorm for the price of about 500SKK per night. The room was clean, spacious, and IKEA-like. There were large drawers under the bottom bunk bed that you could lock your stuff in. For a deposit, you can borrow a lock and a towel. There are also simple kitchen facilities and plenty of tea bags/coffee available. The location was superb, too, close to a tram stop and around the corner from the main streets, with a supermarket nearby.

Restaurant

The pub itself had quite some character. We went there twice during our short stay simply because they were one of the places that had English menus. Their menu was also very interesting because some things were simply hilarious: you have to get an A on your exam to order some soup, meal deals for poor students, etc. You can get discounts if you're a student or if you stay at the Patio Hostel. We tried out the garlic soup. The taste of it was a bit strong, but it was something interesting to try.
