An October 2005 trip to Guayaquil by Adeventourist

I went with some friends from college to see this great place.

Guayaquil is great place to visit--everything I expected and even more in this summery town located in the southwest of Ecuador.

My expectation to see bananas all over was taken away to see this colorful town that offers many attractions to its visitors.,

Quick Tips:

Take the tours that the hotel prepares for you, as well as some on your own. Just find out through the front desk; they will be able to help you.

Take a nice walk on the pier along the Chocolate River; this brand new pier was built by Oxford University and offers many places to see, shop, and discover. Don't miss the "Malecon 2000".,

I had traveled around South America before, and we had a great time at this hotel; we found the rooms very clean and comfortable. The service was outstanding; we called for breakfast in our rooms, and it took them 10 minutes, always smiling and well-mannered. Yes, I would go back to the same hotel; it was a pleasure being there.
