Disney Delight

A November 2005 trip to Orlando by M80D82

Quote: We visited Florida's Disney World and stayed at The Hilton Grand Vacation Club on International Drive. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. We even cancelled some of our sight-seeing activities to just sit around the pool and enjoy the beauty of the resort.

Best Things Nearby:Disney World (Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and MGM), Universal Studios, Kennedy Space Center. Two outstanding restaurants we ate at were Texas de Brazil and the Lobster Feast, both on International Drive. Texas de Brazil was expensive, but had a buffet with a great selection of differently prepared vegetables, then the waiters brought skewers of many different kinds of meat around to the table and would cut off what you wanted. The Lobster Feast was a huge buffet of any kind of imaginable seafood-- including lobster and crab legs. I thought I had died and gone to heaven! This is a seafood buffet with every imaginable kind of fish, including whole lobsters and crab legs. The waiters were very attentive, and immediately removed used plates and bowls from the table. They even helped us crack our first lobster!

We ate here on a Sunday and had their "brunch." We had no idea what sort of restaurant this was, and were pleasantly surprised. The buffet selection they had was a multitude of vegetables, salads, and sauces. The servers then came to your table with large skewers of meat and would cut off a portion for you. There were approximately 10 to 15 different kinds of beef, chicken, and lamb, and they melted in your mouth. They then had a chocolate fountain for desert and many different things to dip into the chocolate, as well as tortes and cakes. It was a great dining experience. Well worth the price, but make sure you go hungry!
