This is a very nice small hotel 5 minutes from Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysees as well as the shopping of Haussmann. The hotel is on the corner of the boulevard, and although when we got there I expected not to be able to sleep, the windows do block a lot out. With minimalist decor, a plasma TV, nice clean bathroom, and a helpful reception, it's got all you need. Breakfast was, however, 12 Euro per person, so we decided to go to a little cafe down the road instead. Although empty on a Sunday morning, the owner made us lovely toast and we sampled the great French "cafe creme." Attraction | "Montmartre & Sacre Coeur"

By far one of my favourite Parisian areas - you feel like you've been taken back to the '40s with the traditional paintings, people playing accordions, cobblestone streets, great little restaurants (recommend Le Poulbot in one of the side streets), and fantastic views of Paris. We sat on the steps of the Sacre Coeur and watched a bit of street theatre after our meal as Paris glistened in the sun below us. Sacre Coeur itself is worth climbing up, as the views from the top are fab. I usually do any tourist shopping here, as it's the most fun place to do it, maybe not the cheapest, but definitely the best experience.
