Best Things About the Resort:
The helpful people and their great, bubbly personalities!

Resort Experience:
Logan Landing is in a very remote place back in the woods of Alabama. The campground sits on a lake and has RV sites and tent sites available. The campground is located approximately 15 minutes from Talladega, including the Superspeedway.

The campground has about 144 RV sites with full or partial hookups. Electricity, water, and sewer connections. The RV sites will accomodate for large RV's. They have pull-thru sites.

When we first arrived at Logan Landing you have to go through a gate and check-in process. They give you a welcome packet that includes that activities going on this week, a map of Alabama, different pamphlets on attractions in the area, and if you go on race weekend, they will give you the race times and such. Since the campground is gated, you have to have a passcode to get in, just in case there isn't anyone at the gate to let you through. The exit bump has spikes on it to prevent people from coming in that aren't supposed to.

Then you go to the trailer and check in, they give you your garbage bags, some more info and then someone escorts you in a little pickup to your campsite. Very friendly people. They were all fantastic! What service!

The people are really friendly and are willing to help you with anything you might need. They have firewood and ice to purchase and a little store with things that you might have forgotten to bring.

The shower/bathrooms building is pretty nice for a campground. The toilets are flushable ones. The girls side has 4 toilets and 3 showers. The showers have 2 rooms inside. One for you to hang your towel in and put your stuff and then it has a divider and you step into the shower area. Very clean, compared to some I have seen.

The campground is very quiet too. They also have a small beach and a pool when it's open. They also have a beach for pets! They have an activity building too and an activity coordinator that has stuff planned all the time. They had karaoke going both nights while we were there. Paddle boats are available too.

The only thing that I didn't like was the fire ants. We didn't have a problem but we could have. The wonderful employee will come down and spray for them, but it takes about an hour before it will take affect. Make sure you don't put your tent directly over an ant hill or you will have ants in your tent! Scary thoughts!

I definitely will be camping there again when I go back.

Talladega Superspeedway is NASCAR's biggest track. It definitely shows it. I recommend wearing a hat when you go into the track, because people tend to spill stuff from the bleachers and since you have to walk under those bleachers, you will be dripped on. It is really kind of gross, so wear a hat. It was warm there, so wear light-colored clothes. Don't forget sunscreen! You will be burnt! The NASCAR race was very good and definitely an experience I will never forget. Allow plenty of time before the race starts to get there and browse the different drivers semi's. Lots of merchandise for sale.

Yes, I highly recommend going, at least once. I will go back again sometime. My goal is to go to a different NASCAR race every year until I have been to all of the tracks. We saw a lot of interesting things, such as when we were waiting in lines to leave the track we saw a school bus that someone had transformed into an RV, it had a window air-conditioner out one of the windows. Definitely interesting. I would recommend either, leaving right after the race is over, or waiting a couple hours because traffic is horrible. We went about 12 miles in 2 hours. It was bad. But it was worth it!
