June in Latvia

Located in "Old Riga", amid spectacular architecture, this hotel, built in 1901, is within walking distance to the Freedom Monument, a park with open market, as well as various shops, cafes, and bars. It is only 15 minutes from the airport and our stay was 35 Lats/day for a very nice, well kept, comfortable double, which included breakfast. You will find all the normal amenities (TV, Cable TV, dining/bar, ironing room, etc.). Breakfast was done buffet style and had a good selection of items to choose from and the food was pretty good. Unfortunately we did too much running around for the wedding that we were there to attend, so did not get the opportunity to try dinner. The first night in town and it was off to try the local cuisine. The resturant has a great atmosphere for both families and couples. The food was excellent - a definite good choice if you want to try local food. If you like your drink, try it by the yard! My husband about fell out of his chair when they brought out a yard of shots to our table.
