The highlight would be the Carousel Mall definitely. It is a great mall with excellent stores and atmosphere. I'm not a shopaholic but I enjoy this mall and can spend a great amount of time here, more so than any other mall. Also there are some good restaurants you can try that make Syracuse extra good.Quick Tips: Don't just stand around and wish you were somewhere else than central new york...find something exciting to do like a dinner boat cruise on one of the finger lakes, tour Syracuse University or check out an Orangemen game, tour nearby Cornell and Ithaca. The college towns are nice for touring, they have great shops and bookstores.Best Way To Get Around: In the college to...Read More

I usually stay at my cousin''s house when in the Syracuse area, but she told me about this hotel and that is it really nice. You get a free breakfast each morning that is, get this, actually cooked just for you! I have never seen anything really like that outside the restaurant! You can get a room with a separate living room, with a fold out couch for the kids or another guest. Probably the nicest place to stay in Syracuse, I actually have the phone number for this one so give them a call.

This is a great dining place, just marvelous food and friendliness. So much variety in the menu from antipasta to clam chowder, from angel hair to fried hot peppers. There is something for everyone, well at least Italian lovers. The price is just right too, so go in and prepared to be stuffed and satisfied.

Nice authentic Irish cuisine (to get your corned beef and cabbage in), Irish brews, and the pub atmosphere. Food is good, nice mix of seafood and Irish delicacies. There is live entertainment most Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and even open mike days for those who like to steal the show. For your pub gear, you can go to the pub shoppe. Casual and fun, I like this place a lot.

What a shopping experience! As if it weren't big enough, they are actually going to expand it to make it the biggest mall in the country! You want a store, just name it and they just might have it. Some of them: Guess?, Forever 21, J. Crew, Brookstone, Pottery Barn, Bath and Body Works, Borders, H & M, Eddie Bauer, American Eagle, Williams-Sonoma, Kay Jewelers, Abercrombie and Fitch etc. A good website to go to is www.carouselcenter.com. It has all the info you need! This is definitely a stop you can't miss going to Syracuse though, just make sure you block off at least 4 hours of your day and bring money, you will probably find something you want amidst all the stores around you.
