Croatia Without Sea - New Country to Love

An August 2005 trip to Koprivnica by glbv

Experience atypical Croatia - still hospitable, open-minded, friendly, tasty, and warm; really, does it need any sea?

Koprivnica is a regional center near the Hungarian border. The town has wonderful historical center, cozy places to seat, and everything else to spend your touristy-minded motivation. But the main thing is the spirit. People really like their type of living. They value their countryside history, their natural products, naive art, old wooden equipment (even for ironing), old handmade clothes... and people not only like it, but they live with it and in it.

Quick Tips:

Wonderful opporurities for biking are bike tours along unspoiled Drava River. See Goran Shafarek's photo website (Goran is the best Drava guide).
