Sun without the kids

Being able to time our day to suit us without having to drag teenagers out of bed. Choosing places to have dinner that suited us without compromising to teenage taste (or lack of it!).

Best Way To Get Around:

We walked everywhere, but because of the hilly conditions, you have to be fairly fit. We used taxis a couple of times and we didn't find them expensive.

Lots of decently priced eating places.

Best Things About the Resort:
Good restaurant.

Resort Experience:

Good quality accommodation and nicely decorated. A one-bedroom apartment had a large bathroom with a shower over the bath, twin beds, lounge with a sofa that converted into a bed, television, kitchen/diner, and balcony with table and chairs.

Several swimming pools. Good sporting facilities (squash courrts, tennis courts, indoor bowling, fitness centre). Nightclub (soundproofed) on site - we found some of the entertainers third-rate, but some were reasonably good. Beware of the "welcome meeting" - at first this appears to be an information-giving session, but really, it is a sales pitch and can take a half a day out of your holiday!
