I loved Paris. It's such a beautiful city. My hotel was great and I really wish I had more time there!

Overview

stairs up the arc

More so than going up to the tip of the Eiffel Tower, walking to the top of the Arc de Triomphe was the best experience. There were the best views in the whole city!

Quick Tips:

I booked my hotel through venere.com. It had great suggestions and great rates. I think I saved about 30€ on my stay per night through the website! Carry around a student id! Most museums and attractions will give student discounts or discounts to people under 25.

Best Way To Get Around:

Paris is best taken in on foot. I walked from the Latin Quarter up to Notre Dame, then down to the Eiffel Tower, and it was exhausting, but I’m so glad I didn't spend all that time underground in a subway or in a cab spending a ton of money. It's a great city, and by walking around, it allows you to appreciate the city, history, and just the beauty of it so much more so than by any other mode of transportation.

View from the room
I loved this hotel. It was right in the middle of the Latin Quarter, just down the street from the Sorbonne. It was a quiet and quaint little neighborhood that was so incredibly close to everything! It was a short walk to the Notre Dame, the Pantheon, and the BEAUTIFUL Luxomberg Garden.

Not only was the hotel cute and quaint, but it had nice white linens and towels, and they were fantastically clean. The rooms were a bit small, but it was expected for a European hotel room. The only thing I didn't really like was that the shower was miniscule, but it was good enough for the short time I was there. Otherwise, the bathrooms were impeccably clean as well. I've got a thing against dirty hotel rooms; most of the time I can't get over the fact that hundreds of other people have stayed in the room before me, but this hotel was so nice and clean that I didn't get that feeling. They even had a complimentary breakfast in the basement of the hotel! There was awesome French bread and chocolate croissants, coffee, and juice, and the dining area was very cute, too. The staff was very friendly and helpful and even put up with our limited French. Overall, we had a great hotel experience, and it made me love the city of Paris even more.
