Jaw-Dropping Puerto Vallarta

An April 2005 trip to Puerto Vallarta by go cards

Puerto Vallarta can take your breath away. It was awesome. There is this one place I forget the name of, but it has great places to eat. I would recommend Fajita Banana--the food was great, especially the dessert.

I would say that for a first-time visitor on the first day of your vacation, the marina one of the best places to go, with great food, over-the-counter medicine, and local connivences

Quick Tips:

Try to say away from the timeshare traps. Some of them are good, but there are too much of them. As soon as we got off the plane, we were already stuck in this 3-hour presentation.

Best Way To Get Around:

This was a really great hotel. It had a great view of town and was close to the marina and other locations. This hotel had a very Mexican feel to it. There is no carpet on the room floors, so the floor does get cold at night.

The boat tour was for one day. They feed you breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It went to different parts of Puerto Vallarta. I got to ride a horse to a hidden waterfall for $5 USD.

It was fun. First, the tour guide made it fun. We played the name game and made up Spanish names for us. They took us to cool places too. The ride was bumpy, really just because we didn't stay on the road. The only part I didn't like was the very end, when all the adults got drunk and passed tequila around.

The Marina is a great place to go to when you don't know what to do. It's a sidewalk that goes on forever, telling you more and more about the town, like a boardwalk. It has a ton of shops. Some restaurants are really good experiences, but the best place to eat is Fajita Banana.
