The Grand Velas is one of RCI’s Gold Crown resorts and at the same time one of the leading hotels of the world. It is an all-inclusive resort with all the luxury you can dream of. It features different-sized amazingly furnished suites with ocean-view balconies, three swimming pools of different levels and temperatures, a private beach, a fantastic pool bar, three restaurants, and a world-class spa. I would recommend the Grand Velas basically to anybody who is seeking a luxurious and relaxing holiday. The resort has a pool bar, a lobby bar, and 24-hour room service, and it is all included in your all-inclusive package, so it is well worth trying it all!!!

It is an all-day casual restaurant located at the pool area under wonderful palapa and offering a panoramic ocean view to the Bahia de Banderas. It offers an innovative take on traditional international cuisine. Delight your palate by ordering in any of the five open cuisines, with Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, and Italian specialties, as well from the delicious grill menu with special fine cuts and seafood, while enjoying of the famous sunsets of Vallarta. It is open from 7am 11:30pm for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and it offers both a la carte and buffet options.

Lucca is a typical Italian restaurant with a big scope of Italian cuisine, with its traditional dishes from the northern, central, and southern regions. Dishes include tied octopus and vegetables perfumed with balsamic vinegar, homemade pasta with shallots, green zucchini and tomato, shrimp with prosciutto, and a rack of lamb in fine herbs with mushrooms, seasoned with garlic, strawberries, and wild fruit with green-apple sorbet. My personal recommendation is the last as a light dessert. I recommend to visit this restaurant during your stay, as it is included in the all-inclusive package, and you can spend a really nice romantic dinner there.

This is the best place in the resort. It is a swim-up bar where you can order all kinds of drinks all day and food from the menu of Azul from 11am to 7pm every day. My personal recommendation is the nachos with cheese and chicken for a snack, and the best drink is the Bahama Mamma. Try them all! The bartenders are really nice, and they made us laugh all the time.
