Ristorante Riviera is located on Walldorf's charming main street, known as the Hauptstrasse. The street is dotted with little specialty stores, restaurants, and cafes. The Riviera is a small restaurant filled by a soft, romantic buzz. The interior has a simple elegance due to its use of marble, white linens, and soft candlelight. The owner and chefs are very friendly, although they tend to break into Italian song from time to time. However, this generally adds to the restaurants romantic atmosphere.
The Riviera offers the best Italian dishes in Walldorf. Whether a simple pasta dish or a more decadent Pesce selection, portions are generous and always delicious. During Spargel (white asparagus) season (May/June), they offer a wide selection of specialty dishes. This is a great restaurant to just stop by and have dinner at, or to enjoy a glass of Chianti over a long romantic meal. On weekends, reservations are recommended, although generally notifying them a day or two in advance is fine. During the summer, be sure to take advantage of their outdoor seating area to enjoy Germany's cool summer evenings and main street atmosphere.
