NFL Weekend

A November 2004 trip to Charlotte by Travelwv

Quote: I went to Charlotte, NC, for the weekend, mainly to watch the Carolina Panthers and the Oakland Raiders (mostly the Raiders!). It is a beautiful city with a great downtown area for walking. There were several malls to shop at within close vicinity to the downtown area.

This is a very nice, clean, and convenient downtown hotel. It has a place called the "Re-store" that has a Starbucks and Krispy Kreme in it. It also sells T-shirts, mugs, etc. Champions Sports Bar has great food and atmosphere. We stayed Saturday night and were checking out Sunday morning, then going to the Panthers vs. Raiders game. The staff stored our luggage in a locked room and allowed us to remain parked in their underground parking garage (at least it appeared to be underground; I valet parked and never went in).
