Buddy's Bar-B-Q is a favorite spot for "Knoxvillians." Buddy's is a fast-food restaurant (you can either drive through or order and wait at the counter). The menu has the usual selection of barbecue items (pulled or sliced pork, chicken, ribs) and the traditional accompaniments (corn on the cob, potato salad, creamy coleslaw, baked beans, and fries). Dinners are served with hush puppies. My favorite is the pulled-pork sandwich. If you dine in, you can add your own amount of regular and hot barbecue sauce. My sisters and I went to Puleo's Grille for lunch on Saturday. The sign outside said "Southern roots with Italian heritage." I was looking forward to finding out what that meant.The menu was quite extensive, with many choices in each category. My sisters ordered spinach artichoke queso that came with thick tortilla chips.There were several salad choices that were large enough to be an entire meal. I ordered the baby spinach salad.
