A September 2005 trip
to Whistler by KenDurham
Quote: Fall into the beautiful Rocky Mountain and the British Columbia coastline by driving up the "Sea to Sky" highway from Vancouver to Whistler. Enjoy the panoramic views along the coastline or from the top of the mountains. Shop until you drop in the year-round sports and clothing stores.
Although the resort is under major renovations, we were lucky to be on the pool side and away from it.
The unit had a king bed that was extremely comfortable - I like a soft mattress. Even the pullout sofa was sleepable on. Our son managed it with no problems.
The kitchen had everything in it, including a teapot, which is sadly lacking at most resorts. There were plenty of dishes and pots and pans.
The living room was small, but comfortable with a propane fireplace, a television, VCR and DVD player.
The bathroom was SMALL. There could only be one person in there at a time no matter what.
Would I stay there again - YES. It is a great place to treat as a bed and breakfast where you are gone for the day enjoying all the outdoor activities Whistler can offer.
The resort does have an outdoor pool, open year round. It has a small hot tub beside the pool and a unisex sauna. There is a large meeting room on the main floor with a wood burning fireplace in the center.
All parking is underground and there is only one spot per unit.
