Capital offense in Sucre, Bolivia

An April 1993 trip to Sucre by TKDista

What was disguised as a caravan of Americans travelling by car from La PAz to Sucre turned out to rock Bolivia when it's Supreme Court came crashing down in a corruption scandal.

Walks are always good in Sucre. It is a pleasant, quiet town in out-of-the-way Bolivia. While in the main plaza, stop and talk to the war veterans. They have some interesting stories.

Quick Tips:

Check your table service before you sit down in a restaurant. It's usually pretty good, but that is a general tip for Bolivia. Do not order fresh vegies - they are fresher than you'd like (unwashed). There are many museums to visit, as well as churches , etc. Take advantage of that.

Best Way To Get Around:

Walking is always good, but for the occassional jaunt, a taxi will suffice where mini buses will not.
