Weekend in Hartford

A June 2005 trip to Hartford by sirfarmer

Quote: Six reasons the Hilton Hartford failed as a Hilton. I suggest other hotels in the area! Aside from the bad hotel experiance, the jazz festival every summer is wonderful!

I must say that I have just completed the most disappointing stay at the Hilton Hartford. Granted, it was a very reasonable rate for a last-minute booking, but that hardly excuses the level of service I received. The new decor and ambience hardly justify the poor customer service and staffing I received. It's a good thing my reservation was only for one night, or I would have gladly paid the early departure fee that was displayed on my keypacket. Fortunately, there are other hotels in the area with an adequate level of service.

I would recommend this to anyone! It was a truly wonderful two-day jazz festival. There were many vendors from accross the U.S. There was authentic Southern and soul food as well.
