It was CLOSE to resort! One could even walk there if in an athletic mode. Legoland can be seen from the resort.

We visited the San Diego Zoo, the wild animal park, Point Loma, Seaport Village, USS Midway, the beach, the downtown shops of Carlsbad, and SeaWorld. I would HIGHLY recommend all of the above. Also, if you like ROLLER COASTERS (we love them), I would go to SIX FLAGS MAGIC MOUNTAIN. We didn't go this time but wanted to.
