The sunsets are awesome and it is close to all beaches, such as Clearwater Beach to the north, Reddington Beach, and Madiera Beach. And, St. John's Intercoastal Waterway entrance is just north, there is a nice shopping area, and Dr. Beach's top-rated Fort Desota Park to the south (just .75 to cross the bridge – and the rest is free!). At the pass, rent jet skis, and there is parasailing, boats, casino cruises, a few very good restaurants, and NON-crowded beaches. The water is warm (low 80's through October) and Gulf waves just lap at you feet.
