Best Things Nearby:
There are not many restaurants within walking distance, but in Albufeira itself we found some really nice eating places. There are loads of restaurants to choose from, but you just need to be selective. The Old Theatre was really nice and had some folk music and dancing on certain nights.

Best Things About the Resort:
Phase II is really nice. The apartments are set around the pool but are far enough away not to be on top of it. It’s better than Phase I, where the apartments are crowded around the pool, without much space between the pool and apartments.

Resort Experience:
Club Albufeira is currently in two phases, with Phase III currently being built. Phase I is a bit crowded, but Phase II is lovely. The restaurant on-site is good, but we would recommend booking if you want to eat there. The Pool Bar at Phase II is also nice for lunch and the staff is very friendly.

Our apartment was a bit shabby and could have done with a refurbishment. We booked this as a bonus week.

Apartments could do with a bit more privacy in the balcony area, as the ease of climbing between apartments and looking into neighbouring apartments was a bit intrusive, especially as we sat in our apartment, as the neighbours jumped over the wall and onto our balcony to get a ball that had landed there!!

A car hire is essential if you want to get out and about. We explored a few places - Monchique is really nice and Port Mao is nice - but it’s a nightmare to drive round. There are one-way streets everywhere, and I suggest that you park in one of the car parks located on the outskirts and walk in.
