10-Day Trip to Ireland Best of IgoUgo

Overview

Quote:
Some of the best things to do are go on tours so you can meet other people from many different countries, and have fun at the pubs; they are a little expensive, but the people are a blast.

Quick Tips:

A good way to save money is staying at hostels.

Best Way To Get Around:

Walking is much better than driving. You can see many more sights and go where you want to. Taxis are expensive, but if you want to go across the country, it is only about 17 euros round-trip.

The people who work there are very nice, and if you need them to book something, they will call and book it for you. The rooms all have bathrooms and showers in them, but there are extra upstairs. They also have a luggage store room in case you are going somewhere and need a place to keep your stuff.

Attraction | "Oliver St John Gogarty's Pub"

Quote:
It's somewhat crowded, but so are the other many pubs in Dublin. They play decent music and you can also get a bite to eat while you are there.

There is usually a long line, but it goes pretty quickly. It's amazing to see old literature still in decent condition. The many books they have here are for anyone who loves history.

Guinness Storehouse Best of IgoUgo

Attraction

One of the first things I noticed when I walked in was the wall of beer bottles behind glass. There were, I think, 2,000 bottles. My cousin and I went up to the observation floor (seventh floor), where the view is amazing. Sometimes the elevators are a little packed, so make sure to take the stairs if you don’t like small spaces.

The Blarney Castle is a must-see attraction. Even though you need to hang upside-down in order to kiss the Blarney Stone, it's still fun to watch family and friends kiss a stone that millions of people have kissed.

O'Connell Street Best of IgoUgo

Attraction | "O'Connell Street's Interests"

Quote:
O'Connell Street is very busy with people and cars. It is a very easy way to help you find your way somewhere or find your way home, since this street is very hard to miss. It is kind of like Times Square in New York.

Temple Bar Square Best of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Temple Bar area"

Quote:
The Temple Bar area is very busy with people having fun pub-hopping. People usually stand in the middle of the cobblestone street with pamphlets from different clubs, handing them out to people passing by. If you want to find hundreds of pubs on one street, Temple Bar is the place.

Quote:
This is one place every person needs to go when they visit Ireland! It may have no railings on the edges of the cliffs, but it is worth it to sit on the edge and take pictures of the waves hitting the cliffs and the beautiful scenery.
