As old as she is (112 years), the town of Crested Butte doesn’t show it all. Like wine, the town has aged well. Its structures, reminiscent of the old mining days, are far from decay and instead have a storybook feel to them. I kid you not, where will one find old buildings painted mint green or pink?
Spending your money will be secondary, for the best thing Crested Butte has to offer is FREE! Known as "Colorado’s Wildflower Capital," flowers are everywhere.
