It was very comfortable and quiet. The room did not have a fridge, which would have come in handy. It's about the cheapest place to stay in Vail Valley. We have stayed here a number of times. It is close to the bus stop that takes you into Vail Village.

Pepi's never disappoints. They serve more Austrian than German cuisine (having one Austrian and one German parent, I know the difference). My friend had the classic wienerschitzel, and it was huge, crispy on the outside and with very tender veal in the middle. I asked for a side of sauerkraut, which was brought immediately. I had the braised pork loin with spaetzel and red cabbage. Everything was perfect. Dining was out on the patio, with live entertainment.

It took 5 hours to get to the summit from the trailhead. It was 1,000 feet up, then 1000 feet BACK DOWN, and 3000 feet back up to the summit. On the return, you will have the 1,000 feet you have to climb back up on your mind. There are beautiful views at every aspect of this hike, but it is a very long day.
