Ramada Newark Airport: Wow, the hotel is not much from the outside, but once inside, the atmosphere changes. The staff was wonderful. I arrived at 8:30am and was able to get into my room immediately upon arrival, even though check in wasn't intil 3pm, and they did not ask me to pay anything additional!

Quick Tips:

I do suggest before you stay near the airport--be sure to ask exactly how their shuttle service from the airport works. Not having done that before (I was always picked up), I was a bit confused with the Air Tram.

Best Way To Get Around:

I did not go out much, and when I did, a friend brought the car. I would recommend taking a taxi, because the drivers are insane.

Like I said, the outside wasn't much, but the rooms have recently been renovated and are very pleasant to stay in. Everything was clean. The shower was perfect. I did need to move some things around to prevent bruising, though. I had a view of the pool, which was clean and quite large. The bedding was comfortable, the bed a touch hard.

The restaurant was located in the hotel which also provided room service. I don't recommend the steak (too much fat), but it was nice and clean. The room service was great. You literally had your order within minutes. No waiting around, and it was hot upon arrival. The prices were reasonable for room service. There were not a lot of choices around if you had no car.
