Quote: We had a great time on Kauai. We think this island is one of the most beautiful places on earth. We particularly enjoyed hiking, surfing, taking a catamaran to see Na Pali, and visiting the lovely and interesting botanical gardens.

Best Things Nearby:Ocean, Lihue, Botanical Gardens, Waimea CanyonBest Things About the Resort:Tennis courts, nice units, lanai, nice pool, chickensResort Experience:This is a very attractive resort located on a beach that is lovely, but not safe for swimming. We enjoyed the pool, though, and went to nearby public beaches to swim in the ocean. The kitchen is very well-equipped; it even had a rice cooker. In our opinion, the only downside to the resort is that is is adjacent to property where people enjoy riding dirt bikes and ATVs. There are three national tropical botanical gardens on Kauai. If you enjoy plants and flowers and being outside, all three are worth a visit. We particularly enjoyed Allerton Gardens and the gardens on the north side, west of Hanalei Bay.

The contrast between the deep green of the foliage and the dark red of the earth is amazing. It is one of the most beautiful canyons I have ever seen.

This is a site where the waves force water up through a hole in a lava shelf. It looks like a intermittent fountain or geyser. Sometimes you can see a rainbow in the mist.
