We visited Juan Griego, a water park, La Asuncion, 4 de Mayo Street, etc., using this kind of transportation. People are very friendly and can help you. Resort Experience:
Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience with this resort. I spent 1 week in Caracas and wanted to make sure my unit was ready for the date listed on my reservation, but the lady in charge was reluctant to answer my call, and I found out why. She had given my unit to someone else! I had to spend the first night in a one-bedroom unit. I had reserved a two-bedroom for 2 weeks because we were a group of four. She said that there was a discrepancy with RCI and this resort. She had notified RCI that the check-in days are Sundays, not Saturdays, and RCI kept on sending customers on Saturdays. No blankets were available. They were all given away, and we ended up with nothing! The next day, after I checked about three units, I finally got the two-bedroom unit.
The units were dirty. There was some sort of white powder all over the kitchen to ward off roaches. The water from the kitchen sink was coming out of the floor! The towels were so old that they could not dry anymore. The showers, toilets, and curtains were dirty and slimy. The shower walls were full of black fungus in between the ceramic. Awful! We ended up buying shower sandals to prevent fungus on our feet. We asked them to wash the shower floor, but the maid did not do a good job. The toilet was also dirty from the previous guest. The furniture was all messed up, dirty and repainted.
The hotel's taxis were kind of expensive, so it was better to walk to Sambil towards Avenida Bolivar. In the parking lot there is a taxi line. They are helpful and don't charge too much. The TV cable was disconnected most of the time. Finally, we ended up in a unit close to a colorful macaw bird cage. It was a huge cage with about 12 macaw birds. They were so loud! They make a loud noise that will wake you up early morning at 6am or earlier. Basically, if your room is in that part of the building, you go to sleep and wake up at the same time of these colorful macaws. People complained all the time about it, but the owners do not want to get rid of the birds or move the cage. Awful!
I do not recommend this resort. It does not live up to RCI standards. I complained to the RCI lady and she said that I had to remember that it was a two-star hotel. Unbelievable!! They are selling timeshares to new customers, and in fact, they are building more units on the top floor. They should keep it up and maintain it. A nice resort does not need to be fancy, just clean. I called RCI about this resort. I could not change the resort because at the time I was there, there were two major holidays, so the resorts in the island were booked up. I had to overlook many things because they were going to ruin my vacation and my time.
