Honeymoon in California

A July 2005 trip to San Francisco by cleobear123

Concord was a very nice smaller town. We had a lot of fun here and would go back in a heartbeat.

Hotel

They accommodations were very nice. We got on the bottom floor, with a parking spot right in front of the door. There was a mix-up with our reservation, but they fixed it, and we ended up getting a room with two queen-size beds. The room wasn't five-star, but it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. They were within walking distance to a lot of things in town. The morning crew was very nice and helpful, and the night crew was just a little off (hence the mix up with our reservation). They had a nice outdoor pool and hot tub. All in all, I would recommend this hotel to anyone and give them a 9 out of 10.

Q-ZarBest of IgoUgo

Attraction

My husband and I used to work at a Q-Zar in Washington (that is actually how we met), so when we found out about the one in California, we had to hit it. We got the 5-hour laser tag package, which came with tokens to play the games, and it cost us a total of $50 for both of us, although one game of laser tag is only $7. It was well worth it.

They will take you into a briefing room, where they will explain the game to you and how to play. Once that is done, you will go into the vesting room and put on your vest, either Red Team or Green Team. You then go into a huge arena and get your laser ready. Then, for 15 minutes, you go around the black-lit, smoke-filled arena shooting the opposite team and trying to hit the headquarters. The arena is actually very large and set up pretty well. Just remember to hide behind things, or they will shoot you. The team with the highest score at the end wins. You don't really "win" anything, just bragging rights, but it still is a blast.

If you do play for a long time, be prepared for a workout. The workers there were so nice and really great. If you are ever in Concord, make sure you visit Q-Zar.

Waterworld USABest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Six Flags Waterworld"

I really wasn't a big of of the park and neither was my husband. It was small with not many slides and very overcrowded. Not worth the $20 we spent each. If you go on a cooler day it would probably be worth it due to a smaller crowd. They only had four slides that you didn't have to use an innertube with. Not to mention it cost $8 to park, and there really wasn't any other place within walking distance that you could eat lunch at. So you had to buy the overpriced food there. I say it is a better thing for younger kids rather than adults
