I really enjoyed dining at the Spring House Tavern. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, great for a casual lunch and quick beer. The historic Dobbin House is a great place for dinner. The fine food and dining was a great experience. I would highly recommend the more casual/laid-back Spring House Tavern or more upscale Dobbin House.

For the Civil War buff, this is a great experience. The annual reenactments are exhilarating. For the ones not interested in Civil War history, downtown is a great place to shop, eat, or get a spa treatment. The historical Gettysburg College is also worth seeing.
