Acqua was recommended by several guidebooks and our hotel. But we heard that it was hard to get a reservation on short notice. On a whim, we showed up early enough (7pm) to secure a table. Boy, were we lucky! This was our best meal in Italy. The atmosphere was lively, and by 8pm every seat was filled. Our server was fun, friendly, and knowledgeable - he recommended the blueberry steak, which I would have never chosen on my own!
We were also very impressed with our bill. It was around $30 per person, which included pasta, salad, entrée, dessert, and a jug of wine. This was our "splurge night," and we ate like queens!
The only negative I can think of is that there were many foreign tourists, so it may not be the place to go if you want to feel like one of the "locals." But, if you want a delicious and authentic Italian meal, Acqua cannot be missed!
