Its territory is rather large, with five or seven pools and lazy rivers near the more expensive and bigger units. Each pool had a pool bar with friendly service and excellent drinks. Tulum Mayan Ruins

Attraction | "TULUM, Mayan Architecture"

Very interesting historic site. The grayish-tan buildings on the cliff-top site overlooking the Caribbean are very impressive. We enjoyed hearing about the Mayan history and traditions. I recommend to come early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid extreme heat and crowds of tourists. On the way to the site, a group of Totonac Indians performed their ceremony for tips. They whirled, dangling upside-down from ropes attached to a tall steel pole. The show is pretty amazing, but a little surprising as it seems out of place.
