Overview

Walking the city and seeing all the buildings. Shopping can be done for any style you may want. It is amazing how the German people are still influenced by the events of WWII. There are areas of the city where they will not build because the Hitler buildings occupied that same land.

Quick Tips:

Check the calender of events; there were none while we were there.

Best Way To Get Around:

Walking is best, but public transportation is great.

Hotel | "Intercontinetal Berlin"

Very nice hotel with a great staff. The room was modern, with clean lines and all the amenities you could want. I would stay there again if I go back to Berlin.

Very good food and a lot to choose from. Service is great as well. We had a five-course meal and left very satisfied. The price was not bad for what we got.

History is evident when you visit here. There is a area that is dedicated to the known people killed while trying to cross the Berlin Wall.

Attraction

It is sad to see that there is only a small amount of the wall left. It is behind the fence and protected from vandals. There is a history walk all in German under the site. It is a must for anyone interested in history.

Attraction | "Der Reichstag: the German Parliament"

Very modern building with a great view of the city. There is a cafe at the top of the building where you can eat or just get something to drink. There is a lot of history in this area.
