Dreaming of a Wet Christmas?

Overview

Quote:
A short and wet stay in Seattle, but enough time to get a feel for the city. You understand why coffee became such a big deal here when you deal with the cold and damp, and the late sunrise. There are some really pretty places in Capitol hill, and the drive down from Vancouver with the Cascade mountains along the highway was breathtaking. Make sure to stop in somewhere and have a microbrew.

Quick Tips:

Make sure to stop in somewhere and have a microbrew.

Best Way To Get Around:

If you stay near the downtown, walking is really the best option.

Gaslight Inn

Hotel

Beautiful Victorian mansion, lovingly restored in the mission style. Friendly and helpful hosts. Walking distance to the marker, shopping, and downtown. A nice, simple breakfast is served. There is a cat, so if you are allergic beware.

Campagne

Restaurant | "Campagnia Cafe"

We had a really wonderful meal here. It is part of Campagne, a much more expensive place. The food was wonderful, the people friendly and helpful and the prices reasonable for what you are getting quality wise (not that it is an inexpensive place though). They seem to save 3 tables for people without reservations, so if you get there early you should be able to get a seat. I noticed the next day that they also serve breakfast.
